My first job: AMC Theaters Houma Palace 10
My first job was at the AMC Theater in Houma :) I worked there for a little over 2 years, and I worked EVERYWHERE -..-'
I started out in the Concessions, but I was quickly moved to the Box Office. I stayed there for quite a while until the rotating manager at that time decided he didn't like me and made things difficult(we went through managers there like crazy. We had 4 managers. There were 3 that were always there no matter what, but one of the three was from corporate and always stayed with us for a few months before leaving for reasons 'unknown'). But he had an accident (nearly set the place on fire, and burnt the eyebrows off 2 employees in the process) and was dismissed, and they moved me to the Cafe...where I stayed until I graduated from college.
Working in Cafe was like working everywhere at once, because Cafe tended to be slower than every other department. So, if ushers needed help cleaning theaters, or if they wanted someone to take the podium to tear tickets, or if the any of the other areas (box office, game room, or concessions) were getting slammed, I'd report to those departments to help out.
I remember being in constant pain while I worked there, but all-in-all it was a great experience.
