Serious Progress

The Nexus is finished!!!!

*pant pant pant* Ok, finished as in the floor is done. We’ve been moving a few things in little by little, but I’m far from moved in. Dad said the toilet isn’t done, the trim isn’t done, it’s not at all clean, and no major things have been moved in (bed, clothes, fandoms, etc). I’m just excited to finally see it done. I actually woke up pretty early for a Saturday. It was around 8:30, and I was very hungry, so I went outside and asked Dad if he wanted some eggs. He’s infamous for having 2 pieces of toast with peanut butter anywhere between 4 and 6 in the morning and then working till 10 and starving. He said he’d love some, so I fixed coffee, bacon, four eggs (two for each of us) and some toast (to sopp up the eggs). We had breakfast and then got ready to leave for town.

We priced toilets and doors, and then realized that Dad hadn’t taken measurements for the wall or toilet seat, so it wouldn’t be a good idea to buy a toilet without precise measurements. We looked at doors, but I knew we weren’t getting anything. Everything’s so expensive, so we’re just going to saw off part of the bottom of the door and re-attach the bottom with some sort of sealer. Dad seems to know what he’s doing, so I’ll just let him figure it out.

We came home, and I was excited because season 2 of Bones finally came in. After eating we started putting the shelf liner in, and then loading up the shelves with my glasses, cups, mugs and plates. Mom and Dad had to go back to town (for the toilet and some other things). I stayed and put up my fans, and my chairs (those that I could carry that is), and some of the other little things that would go in the kitchen and bathroom, along with the gifts that I’ve got wrapped for Christmas and birthdays. I tried to assemble my DVD cabinet...but evidently I can’t wrap my head around the directions =..= Mom and Dad came back with a new toilet and Mom helped me put liner in the rest of the cabinets. We also cleaned up a bit more, or tried to. We keep tracking stuff in as we come in and out, so it’s hard to keep the place clean. Mom and Dad had to leave again, so I tried to load in as many stuff full of boxes as I could, but there were some things that were just too heavy.

I unloaded as much as I could till it started getting dark. Then, I came home and showered. I’ve been watching Supernatural ever since. Though, I did manage to come up with a list of products that I regularly buy for future use. Dad has said he’ll try to get my bed and other heavy items in on Monday, so I’ll probably be moved in by then if nothing goes wrong /crosses fingers.

Now I’m going to have my mid-night snack and then o to bed. I’ve been trying to finish up this entry for the past 2 hours, so..I’m gonna go ahead and close this out and hit the hey. Later, sunshines.

Black Jack Rackham

Yo. God, the last few days have been terrible. I’ve had to keep fighting off a sinus/tension headache. It tends to make one slightly disagreeable. But I think I may’ve gotten it whipped...although it was kinda still with me till just after my shower this evening. But I feel decent enough to post and not sound so crabby.

I woke up very 5 a.m. early. I kept trying to go back to sleep, but it wasn’t working out. It’s one of those things where you wake up and you’re bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and you can’t get back to sleep, but then by the time you’ve decided to get up, you’re exhausted from the struggle of getting back to sleep. So, I finally got up and made breakfast around 8:20ish. I fixed breakfast and coffee. I’ve been told I have way too much sugar and carbs for breakfast (muffins, toast, cereal, and the like), so I tried eating a slice of ham with breakfast. That didn’t really go over that well, but I managed to finish it.

Watched Gilmore Girls. And I’m pleased to say they’re rerunning the episodes from the very beginning, so I actually get to watch them all over again from the beginning! I think I came in near the end of the second season / beginning of the third. So, I’ve never seen them from the beginning. This way I get to see them all.

So, after GG I jumped on the computer and I did a lot of writing while it was still morning. I have a huge stack of papers on the floor that comprises over half of what I’d written up over the last few months. I got a call from Chase from Hancocks. Turns out the month that I worked, we made enough to qualify for bonuses, so I had an extra check. I waited for Mom and Dad to get home (they’d borrowed my car to fill it up), and then I headed over to pick that up.

I ended up talking with Chase for half an hour about movies and such. It ranged from Star Wars to Batman Begins to X-Men. Star Wars was mostly about the stuff we’d like to see, everything from Exar Kun to Mara Jade. He said that when George Lucas made episodes 1-3 he said something about how he wouldn’t do 7 and the later ones. But lately there’s been a rumor that the people that work for Lucas all signed confidentiality agreements concerning episode 7. I was fairly well psyched about that. Then I couldn’t wait for X3 and the second Pirates of the Caribbean movies. I said I’d heard that Juggernaut was gonna be in X3, and I suspected Phoenix would come into play too. He said he heard Emma Frost would be there too (woot!) and that they would even go into the whole Phoenix saga. Serious woot-age, man. He even told me what a great movie Batman Begins was and encouraged me to go see it. Now, I really want to see it, even more than I did before.

After the good talk, I went and deposited the money into my checkings and then headed home. Mom told me I’d gotten a call from someone at Hibernia bank about an interview. So, I called them back, and I’ll be going on an interview 8:30 a.m. Thursday. I’m looking forward to it and dreading it all at once. But I’ll just approach it as I do everything else. Laid-back, waiting for it to come on it’s own. No use getting my hopes up right?

Now, I am relaxing and watching the first season of X-Men: Evolution. I’m on the 3rd DVD and quickly moving towards the 4th. God, I wish I could afford the next season /sigh. And I wish even more that the other season were available through least Amazon doesn’t have them...I might need to check eBay.

Well, that’s about all there is for today. Till next time, goodnight.

[personal profile] rattgirl like totally had this, and just had to try it out. (Is it just me, or did I totally go Kitty Pride there? Genkies.) Check it out!

Yo. I was about to knok out when I remembered that I hadn’t written in my journal or to my Dad, so I figured I’d better hurry up and do that before it is forever lost from my memory.

What did I do today? Well, Got up a little early for a Saturday. Went outside and ate breakfast with Mom out on the patio. Isn’t Patio a funny word? I mean who actually pronounces it like it’s spelled? Everyone I know says “Pad-e-oh”. The T took on the D sound. Reminds me of that old (old, old) commercial where he’s trying to spell out in the URL and they’re like “There’s no R in tickets!” and he’s like, “It’s the silent R.”

Anyway! Ate breakfast and then made us some cappuccino to enjoy before the family onslaught. My Uncle Buddy and Aunt Audrey were coming down. Everyone dislikes my Uncle Buddy (even my Aunt Audrey) because of his childish behavior. My mom always tells the story of how when I was little and we went to visit them, and he came in while I was watching TV and made a huge stink about me watching whatever cartoons I was watching, and said he wouldn’t be watching that junk in his house, and he promptly switched the channel to something like Scooby Doo or something equally asinine. He’s also famous for getting fed up with whoever Aunt Audrey is visiting with, and going out in their car and waiting for her. Pouting like a two year-old.

Anyway, I got all my money together and headed for my bank. I don’t know if they’re always that busy on Saturdays or if it’s just because yesterday was a holiday and they were catching up. We had a line seven cars long! It was crazy. Took me 30 minutes to get to the window. And the bank is at the base of a U-drive like thingy, and on the other side is a traler park neighborhood...people couldn’t really get to their homes because of all the cars blocking the one-way U-drive. It was insanity.

Got home, and the family were here. Was sociable for a grand total of about 15 minutes, and then got on AMOS whenever they left for lunch. I put Mom’s Mahjongg pack on AMOS along with an old game that I love. It’s called Star Warped. It’s absolutely hysterical. Two brothers (or step brothers) that have all these crazy Star War like games like “Wack the Ewok” where you walk an ewok off a bridge before he can get to the other side, and “Death Star Destructo” where you’re the Death Star and you have to shoot anything that comes near you (like Luke’s hand and space ships and gumball-R2D2’s, and then there’s “You don’t know Jedi”, which is like You don’t know Jack only with Star Wars stuff. There’s lots of other stuff too, I just can’t remember it all right now. The sad thing is that all the Mahjongg stuff works great but I can’t access Star Warped at all. Something about it needing 3MB of virtual memory in order to run...Virtual Memory? That means nothing to me! You have to tell me like, “You’ve got too many things running! Shut something down!” for me to understand how to fix the problem. I find it terribly ironic that an old game wont work on my brand new computer. But oh well.

But anyway, after the Aunt and Uncle left, Mom got me outside to learn how to work our new lawn mower. It’s one of those really new fangled ones that you steer with two hand levers instead of a steering wheel. Took me a while to get it, but I did ok. But eventually I got so sick of all the turning so I handed it over to Mom so she could do the back yard.

After that, I played Black & White 2 for a while, and then watched a rerun of CSI: NY with Mom> I did take plenty of pics of my time in B&W2, but I’m too tired at present to really post them.

I’ve been thinking about my fan fics a lot lately. Maybe it’s cause they’re all currently on a hard drive that I can’t access -.- I feel so listless! It’s like, I can’t write because I don’t remember all of what I’ve already written. It’s weird. I’ll have to ask Brian if he could squeeze me in sometimes to put that hard drive in tomorrow. And of course, since I’m thinking about my fics all my characters seem to be voicing their opinions as well. It’s mostly been Deimos and his niece Caladi, but they all take turns telling me exactly what they think of everything. Oh well, if they didn’t talk, life would be dull.

Ok, so the pills are so really making my eyes cross. I’ve written to Dad, and this entry is plenty long, so I guess I’ll sign off all ready. 6:30 always comes early. Goodnight.

The Star Wars Kid...

Has anyone else seen this thing about the Star Wars Kid? At first I thought the dude was a genius, but when I found out the real story, I felt terrible. [ profile] amai_tenshi showed it to me right before she left... I’m not gonna get into it here, but if you wanna know what I’m talking about you can read about it here... Bucks for Blogs & Law Suite!.

I also found the web site Jedi, but I couldn’t figure out how to get the videos. They’re more readily downloadable here at Screaming Pickle.

This looks so much like something [ profile] amai_tenshi and I would’ve done way back in the day...

Episode II

2002-May-17, Friday 08:52 pm
msmoon: (Crescent)
Hey Minna. In case you couldn't tell I just got back from seeing Star Wars Episode II. It was very good to say the least. Yoda rocks. You wouldn't think such a little guy would be so good in a fight ne?

I've always had favorites in Star Wars. Favorite Jedi: Yoda—yep I've been for the green guy since the get go—Favorite Sith: Exar Kun—for those of you who don't know who this is, he's only the greatest Sith to ever live in the Star Wars Universe. He created the first double edged light saber, and has died and come back more times than Palpatine himself. Anyway, I loved Episode II for the simple purpose of seeing so many Jedi in action. And watching Yoda wasn't that bad either ^.~.

Today and yesterday I didn't get to see my Twin-san and I got no e-mails from her so either, she didn't get on, or she just forgot to e-mail. Yesterday she went and saw Episode II. Freaky ne? Well, Dad came in and he said if I wanted to go see it he'd pay my way. He owes me $6.50.....well it was only $6.00 to get in...the .50 is just interest ^.^. I just hope she didn't get on and wait for me. But then once she hears what I did all today she won't worry

Total surprise. I got a check in the mail from Smoothie King. I thought I had collected my last pay check but I hadn't. So I got my $60. in quarters and headed to the bank. I put half of my check in my savings account, which brings me to $1,259.54(not much but I'm workin on it) in my savings, and then I cashed the rest and headed to buy what else but that wonderful birthday present for my Twin-san. I remember writing that I saw something I had to buy for her birthday, and now I have it so I can send it when the time comes. It's only a little something no Ryuu Hime should be without ^_^ {kawaii Xellos Face.}

Oh well, I'm home now safe and sound. Can't wait to watch the taped CSI's and Survivors with Dad. I guess that's all for now Minna. I'll write later. That's all she wrote.

msmoon: (Scruffers)
Hey Minna. A lot happened today and nothing happened today. Woke up late...around 10:30. Actually I woke up early, about 5:55 but I rolled over and tried to go back to sleep. I've been developing this problem; I wake up early with a full bladder and an empty stomach. Of course this hinders my sleep, and I've noticed that it only happens when I've eaten and drank right before I go to bed. So I'm trying not to eat and drink before I go to bed and see if that helps.

Anyway, I really got up at 10:30, ate and Mom went of with Mrs. Betty, whom I fondly call my Aunt Batty. Long story. Anyway, I did some laundry, and listened to some music, and read a little in a book. Then I got online about 12:00 and played EQ. I got off there at 1:00 to wait for my Twin-san. I got off line at....2:55.

Mom got home somewhere around 2:00/2:15, and she told me she thinks I need to go look for more jobs, which is fine with me. Can't hurt to put out a few more applications right? I let her take the Royalty and Beauty quiz. They said she's a Maiden, and a Prairie Desert beauty. Cool ne? Anyway, we went outside and moved stuff onto our carport. Swings, flower pots, shelves, tables and chairs and such. We planted some flowers and then I helped mom pick some of our home grown cucumbers and zucchini. I took the produce inside and washed it, then returned to help water the trees.

Thomas was with some friend....I don't know who his friend is 'cause he wasn't introduced to us. Then Thomas we out, with someone else I don't know.....though I think it was Damien. He said he was gonna go eat and go to the movies. If he sees Star Wars Episode II I'll have to ask him about it.

Anyway, I took my shower and all and when I got out, Mom said Aunt Batty had called and she needed to go to Wal Mart. So Mom went with Aunt Batty and got back.....around....9:40...I think. So, I watched the end of Survivor and CSI alone, but I had it all taped so Mom and I watched together when she got back. I'm the type of girl that I don't watch my favorite shows, I memorize them -_-.

So like I said a lot of nothing happened today. I'm glad Himemiya's doing better. Dad comes in tomorrow, and Mom and I are gonna go pick him up. I have a milk jug which I keep change in and Mom and I counted the Quarters in it today. I have $60. in quarters in there....O.o. So maybe I'll get to cash that at the bank tomorrow. Then I'll finally be able to buy that gift for my Twin-san and have some money left over. And this ends the miscellaneous paragraph. I'm getting really sleepy Minna. I'll write later. That's all she wrote.
