I've got a few artistic projects going...but first, the easiest!

Glitch was having one of her spells, and didn't want to be on camera, so here's another drawing video.

msmoon: (Eddie Izzard - Quoi?)

A tribute to WotcherScamp. She graciously drew the two main characters of my original story in her own unique art style, and then paid to ship them cross-country. Love for Scamp!

Dear God, it's been a long con :3 but such fun has been had! Much love to anyone who managed to get the KoS stickies x3 We had fun trying to ninja them into places that wouldn't be overly imposing :)

Artsy Venture

2010-Aug-21, Saturday 01:30 pm
msmoon: (SM - Moonlight)

I wouldn't say that I'm an artist by any means. Sure, I can get creative and all, but since I don't paint or draw I don't see myself as artsy. Still, I love taking pictures. Not of myself of course -..-' But I love to take photos of flowers, landscapes, the sky, people, events, anything and everything :) So maybe I'm a tad on the artsy side, but I still wouldn't call myself artistic.

But lately, I've been wanting to take some of my photos and actually print them onto canvas. Of course, then it occurred to me that if I'm gonna do that, I need to figure out some way to put my signature on the photo… even if it's just my initials. That's just something that stamps the pic and says, 'yeah, this one's mine :)'. I wouldn't say that I'm a glory hog or territorial, but I know that people will think nothing of stamping their name on another person's work, and that infuriates me.

Still. I'm not even sure about ordering prints on canvas. I've googles "Photoes"+"Canvas" and several services popped up. One place that I really like is
Canvas Pop, just because they have a nice ordering process, and they allow you to see the work in space. Plus they let you specify unique measurements for your canvas. If you want a print that's 5x9 then go ahead and put that in and they'll print it for you. They are a tad on the expensive side tho…but I kinda expected that. Print Your Life is pretty cool too, but I find the only thing I like about their service is in their gallery under Grunge… It's just an intestine style. It's also interesting that they'll Avatar a pic of you… I should tell Jessica about that ^..^ Canvas on Demand isn't too bad of a place either….they allow custom measurements as well …and from what I can tell, they have Ty Pennington as a sponsor o..o Oh and lastly there's Photogonia, which offers a bunch of things other than just photo prints and canvas stuffs… there's like, tile sets and puzzles and keepsake boxes. All sorts of stuff.

…and with all that, is it any wonder I feel mixed about? I mean, there are so many options, I'm just not sure what to pick. I get so caught up in looking at options, that I forget entirely that I still am not sure about that whole signature thing -..-' I'm gonna try just scanning my signature into my computer as an image and then opening my photos with Corel Draw and placing the signature over a corner… see if that works.

The reason most of this quandary started is because Mom's birthday is coming up (Sept. 2 :3), and she mentioned a while back that she'd like to get three pictures of mine from Spring, Autumn and Winter and put them over her fire place. So, I wanna go over there and measure how high all those pictures would be (obviously they'd all be landscape style photos :]) and then choose three of my best prints.

…so that's my latest project. Not sure how far I'll get in it today, but I am working on that signature thing for right now… and gathering up prices on the websites that I'm looking at. o..o other than that, I really don't know what else to do until I'm actually ready to order so..yah.

I guess that's all for now. I'll write later, Sunshines :)

msmoon: (HP - Severus WTF)

LoudTwitter is down. Evidently there was a server crash. I swear, I have not dropped off the face of the earth, it's just that the service I use to batch my tweets isn't working :) I thought I'd let everyone know.

Yesterday was church... and it was fun. Not because of the sermon, but because the boys showed up with their mother. This meant Alicia and I had the chance to teach as opposed to attend the Bible study. I enjoy that very much. The boys are very enjoyable and funny, thought it's very hard to keep them reigned in if only because they're so funny you don't want to stop them ^..^

We really didn't give a lesson... but! We developed a reward based system, assigning points to each person for good behavior... and taking points away for bad. After 25 points they may start claiming their rewards... and 25 points can get you 5 candy bars (of your choosing). If you choose not to redeem your points, then you can save it up for a bigger prize. We discussed gift certificates to restaurants and the big prize of 100 points earns you a $50 Wal-Mart gift card :D The gift cards were my idea... so were the candy bars now that I think about it >..> hm...Well, Alicia asked what they would work for... and they said cars and guitars -..- Yeah... nothing we could actually afford. So, I threw in candy (food's always a great reward system right?) and gift certificates... Of course... we do have to get it approved by Pastor Sam first... so... I did make up a chart with their "Names" on them.... ok, that needs explaining.

So... when Alicia mentioned the points system, and Julian said, "What does that remind you of?" to which I replied, "20 points from Gryffindor!" ^..^ They immediately picked up on it and started taken Hogwart's House names... or... something like them. Julian called Gryffindor, Jesse called Slytherin, and Billy ... decided on Ravenpuff O..o yeah I know. They got off on a tangent about combining the names to see what they might just wind up with ... and that's how Billy got his -..-' Of course, T and Lamarr weren't really there... so we gave them substitute names. T (for now) will be Tink and Lamarr with be Autobot :) We'll have to ask them what they think... whenever we next see them.

We're also talking about planning an outing to Branson... the idea is to go and get something to eat and walk the landing and then go see a movie (preferably Transformers 2 as everyone wants to see that). She had mentioned the IMax, but it won't be playing there on the 11th, which is when we wanted to go. The boys will be starting up their Football training camp, and thus they will die a bit every day of the week.... we were hoping for weekend since it'd be more fun and relaxing :) So... you know... maybe we'll have to find another theater. Shouldn't be hard in Branson.

Hmm... what else. Well, I finally got around to getting those art prints framed... all of them (so far). Scamp still owes me two Map paintings, but the Ancients Kth did for me are all framed properly and the map Scamp gave me is framed... I bought 4 matching frames for the Ancients and then 3 other frames from the maps... yes, I only have 1 of the 3, but this Wal-Mart is more of a “Get it while you can, otherwise it may be gone” sort of deal... Even if they aren’t up on the wall yet, I am proud of myself :D

Oh, we went to Sam and Karen's house for the first time since they left on their trip. We were going to go out on some lake, but... well, things didn't work out. So, we ended up just coming home. Not before visiting with Julie and Marsha of course... But, I finished my laundry (thank God). Oh! And tomorrow, Mom and I are going to Branson to shop :3 Yays. Dad said he didn't want to come and get in our way... so that means sushi :D Happy psycho bunny.

Well... I'd better be off. I still haven't showered, slothful boar that I am. I hope LoudTwitter comes back up soon... not that it hasn't been fun posting again....Oh well. I'll talk later, Sunshines :)

I am so extraordinarily happy right now. So, I've just been popping about on the net, right? Trying to distract myself and keep myself awake so that I don't sleep the day away and can't sleep tonight. I'll give a full report of the youth lock-in later, but right now, I have to share my joy.

So, I subscribe to this catalog called Pyramid Collection right? It's a cool, diverse shop that I happened to get... I think from my cousin... and I've just enjoyed getting it ever since. In particular, there are some painting that I've been absolutely besotted with since I first saw them. Unfortunately, these paintings are sold for $70...each. So, I automatically ruled actually owning these paintings out, due to the fact that there will probably never be a point in my life when I can spend so much money for one piece of artwork.

But, I really couldn't get these art prints out of my head, and I thought it might be worth it to check around under the artist's name to see if he sells a smaller version of the print for less.

The artist's name is
David Delamare, and when I went to his official site, I saw the same prints that were in PC, sold for $22. @..@' $22! ZO!M!G!!! I was so ecstatic! And, yes, I'm still not able to just up-and-buy these without a job or anything, but knowing that they aren't out of my reach has just made me so happy!

...and that's really all I can focus on right now. I'm so out of it from the screwed up sleep schedule =..= At least I managed to get some sleep today. Oh well. I'll write later, Sunshines :)

msmoon: (RVB - Words)

For some God-awful reason, I cannot get some of the songs from the Daria musical out of my head! I keep repeating “The big wet rainstorm’s over!” and “What if the town blew away” o..o

/clears throat. Gosh, but it feels like ages since I actually made a post. I rely on Twitter a lot to convey those little dribbles of everyday life...Today, there will be no tweets though, as I took a bit of a mental health day. I just read and amused myself all day long. If you can call reading manga via the internet 'reading'. It's not the old fashion style of having a physical tome in your hands and curling up in bed to enjoy it (which I much enjoy), but it'll do.

So! ... I was lollygagging about on deviantart the other night, when I happened to stumble across a very talented artist by name of
kara-lija. She has some absolutely beautiful stuff really, and I was just so taken with her style. I came across one of her misc creations, and she said it was from Boys Over Flowers. So, I decided to head over to One Manga (thanks, Reiko!) and see if they had that available to read. Aaaand they did!.... 240 something chapters of it O..o' So... I started reading it. I got though 125 chapters =..= Of course, around 10 tonight, I had the amazingly bright idea to head over to Anime Squish (thanks, Scamp!) and see if they had the anime available to watch....and they do.

I only got to watch a bit of the first episode, but since I've read the manga... I kinda know what's going on and all. Although, I beginning to wonder if Anime Squish has problems with all the first episodes. The first Ep of PGSM wouldn't play either, and the first of BoF isn't right... the sound and the picture are askew. Then again, it's really the only place I know of you can watch subbed anime for free -..- Of course, now that I've spent all day on Mako-kun, reading the manga... My eyes feel strained from staring at the screen (and growling at the computer & internet connection). So... I'm not enthusiastic about letting the video load and then watching it =..= Maybe tomorrow.

In Totally Unrelated news; Mom's home from her Distract Assembly trip. She said that actually had a tornado scare this afternoon. No one was hurt at the assembly, but it was still more excitement than they'd wanted. I told her that a few days ago, I noticed a small reddish, pimple-sized bump on the top of my thigh and above my hip. It didn't bother me over-much. But then, it itched a bit, and I did what I could to ignore it. Then... I woke up and the bumps are the size of dimes. Malformed, melted dimes, but dimes none the less! She simply looked at me, like a cow looks at an on-comming train and said, "Yeah, Hon. Those're chiggers... they call 'em red bugs here in the country." =..= She then informed me that I might need to rub some sort of ointment on it, but otherwise it shouldn't be much of a bother... other than the overwhelming urge to scratch >..>

<..< ... >..> ... I really have little else to say. Other than wondering when I'll have to make the mad-dash to straighten up around here for Bear and Scamp's visit, I've really little to look forward to. I did drop off a resume at a doctor's office that's in desperate need for help. I called them as well, and they said they'd tell their office manager (who was off on vacation, but would be coming back in a few days) that I was very interested in the position. Other than that, there really are no new developments.

Well...I'm about to have my evening bowl of cereal and then it's off to bed for me. I'll write latter, Sunshines :)

Good Day :)

2009-Mar-17, Tuesday 12:26 pm
msmoon: (MM - Genki!!)

Yesterday was a great day. I mean, it wasn’t fun as in Ammusement-Park-Loaded-With-Excitement fun, but more of then Dang-but-that-was-a-good-day fun. Dad had to leave that night, and I had decided to cook. My speciality, fried rice with egg rolls and Mom showed me how to make sirloin stir-fry. But, during the day, Mom and Dad went about doing some errands. Dad finally took his truck into the shop to figure out what’s wrong with it. It’s been giving him trouble for a while now. Plus, they had other errands to run... I stayed home and washed clothes and did the dishes and all.

When Dad got back, he hung a swing in one of our trees. I had told him that I would love one of those one-person-rope-on-each-end-of-a-single-board know, the kind you swing on when you’re a kid and you can just go on and on for hours because you can swing yourself without ever touching the ground? Yeah, one of those :) Aaaand he finally got around to doing that. It’s pretty sweet if you ask me. It’s hung in one of the oaks near the garage/basement entrance, and it’s just a nice view in front.... I told Dad that we need to put another swing on the other side of the tree, and then rig a bench around the base, that way if two people want to swing they can...or if one person does and the other prefers to sit that’s cool too. Yay for reliving childhood :D

Mom and I watched some of American Idol....but we didn’t really watch too much TV. We did walk down to the back of our property. There’s a cedar tree there that took a whole lot of damage from the ice storm. Dad says he’s going to use the fallen limbs as kindling because evidently cedar makes for great kindling. We also surveyed another section of our land, this one the place I hope my trailer will soon be. There is much preparation that will need to be done for that. Luckily, the people who sell the trailer also help with arranging the area for the trailer to be on, and they take their labor for preparing the area out of the trailer fee....which is pretty awesome.

Oh! My commissions finally came in yesterday too! Our mail passes really late in the afternoon here (like 3ish), so when we were walking the mail went by. I went to go and get it and lo and behold, there was my commission from Kth. I contacted 2007, after I’d attended the Gathering of the Gargoyles in Tennessee. Her artwork really just captured me, and it was awesome how she just seemed to understand animal anatomy so well. It made me think that if would be great to work with her on animal sketches since she’d really be able to help decipher what was all fantasy and what could actually work. So, I asked her to draw my 4 Ancients for me...and, over the period of 2 years I finally got them. We both ended up going through circumstances that lead us away from the project, but now it’s finally finished! When I got them, I immediately put them in protective sleeves, because I don’t have frames to put them in yet, and, well, a house to hank them in =..= So, they’ll have to go in with the artwork that Scamp drew for me for now....until I can get them framed properly. Anyway, the pictures are all at her deviantArt page. There’s
Kaze The Wind Lord, Kaiyou The Ocean Lord, Tenkaichi The Earth Lord, and Shakaku The Flame Lord.....and they look so awesome XD It’s just so nice to actually see them...outside of my head. These were the first four characters that I ever thought up, and they’ve been with me since I was about 10. I still don’t have anything to represent their human forms, but I knew their animal forms would be more dynamic, so I was very eager to find someone who would help me with that. So much love for Kth for this. I hope if I can find a job and get back up on my feet again, to contact her again :) I also got Sea Horse from her...because it’s just so awesome :) Shoo-Bee-Do my @$$ :3

Oh, I got my tax refund in too, which is awesome. Sure, it’ll mostly go into a savings account, but hey. Having money is always a good thing. I just hope I can get a job and keep that money untouched until it’s otherwise needed. Tomorrow, Mom and I are going to head in to town and I’m going to apply at the local college, along with a few doctor’s offices and I’m also going to a staffing place. I’m optimistic that if the other places aren’t haring, at least the staffing place will help...though, the realist in me knows no matter how many resumes you hand out or interviews you go on, your fate is entirely in other peoples’ hands.

Anyway....after supper yesterday (which was early strangely enough), I made some oatmeal raisin cookies (my favourites) and they were the enormous ones....they were awesome. I made sure to pack some away for Dad’s trip, because they’re some of his favourites too. He and Mom wanted to watch Wheel of Fortune....and I took that as my queue to get on World of Warcraft :) Yaviel is finally level 40, and she’s wearing a rockin’ red outfit....actually, I’m just grateful that she’s out of the short-shorts -..- Those were a tad embarrassing. Got to talk with Scamp while she was on too. That was fun. I was slightly distracted by my Dad’s GPS dilemma. I asked him if he’d taken his GPS out of his truck (which he’d put in the shop) and put it in my car (which he was taking for his trip out). I got a “O..O” face as a response, so I had to give him a bit of instruction on how to use my GPS so that he could actually get there. Thank God for GPSes though...I’d be so lost without them :3 punny.

I guess...that’s really all there is to talk about. We did go to Branson with the Pastor and his wife Saturday, and I have pictures from there that I really need to upload to FaceBook and MySpace (there was sushi; we went to Wasabi for supper...I still prefer The Sushi Place, but when you’re with people who don’t eat sushi, it’s considerate to go to a place that has more than just sushi). Other than that there’s really nothing else to talk about. So...Guess I’ll write later, Sunshines.

We has internets now XD Yays! We struggled for days with that modem, and finally Mom was just tired of it (I was pretty fed up myself) and we went to our provider with the modem asking them to fix it. They gave us a brand new one when they heard the problem and we just had to sort of...reconfigure...I guess O..o My terminology, it make sense in my own head, yo.

So, Monday night was the Valentine’s Day celebration at the church. The theme was ‘Red Foods’...I guess. You could really make any type of food as long as it was in the red family. Mostly for gals, as the men folk go off to play pool on a warped pool table :) Alicia (who I’ve previously referred to as Nostariel as that is her elvish name) and I went off in our own Sunday School room to eat....we enjoyed that. We ended up cracking up just at each other...ok, well, mostly at me. I had made sugar cookies with red sprinkles on top, and Alicia had made huge heart-shaped teacakes with the red sprinkles...I’m not entirely sure if teacakes are supposed to be...tough?...but hers were. Her dad came in there to rag on her about it, and I joined in a bit more subtly by telling him that I didn’t know what he was going on about, and then biting into the cake ferociously before it would break :D Alicia’s mom had made home-made rolls, which she used red food coloring on. They came out pink, and I told Alicia that I was going to be disappointed because it looked so much like pork I’d psych myself out to bite into some juicy pork...and then get bread. I also made everyone crack up because Alicia’s mom made chicken noodles...but she’d put red/pink food color in it and it seemed to all bright magenta goo O..O I told her, “This stuff looks radio active, but it’s awesome!” Twas fun.

During the afternoon, while I was making my cookies, I kinda kept Dad out of the kitchen, because I knew he’d try to sneak some cookies. And I wanted him to just wait till that night. Well, that night, there was so many foods, he over-ate and didn’t get to the cookies -..- So, he was leaving for offshore early early the next morning. So that night, when everyone had gone to bed, I got my thick red sharpie and a small zip-lock bag, and I put four or five of those cookies in the zip-lock. I drew little hearts and put ‘Love you, Daddy’ on the bag ^..^ Mom said that when he called the next morning to let her know where he was, he said that really touched him. So he got some of my cookies :D

Soooo, Mom is finally starting to fell better. She’s not at 100%, but she’s so much better, it’s like night and day. So, we decided to head down to Branson (MO) to get some air...and shop :) She ended up buying me four little kanji art pieces at Bed, Bath and Beyond that are in different color and say things like “Love”, “Prosperity” etc. They were just so pretty...I’m so glad she got them for me. We also looked around Michael’s...which I’d never done before...but I want to again :D We didn’t spend any money there because we had at BBB and we still wanted to go eat.

Scamp? I’m sorry...there was sushi. Don’t tell Bear =..= We tried out the second sushi place that Branson has to offer, a place called Wasabi (gotta love the name, na no da). The atmosphere was awesome, the decor and feel was great, the sushi was good. Still, the Sushi Place seems much better as far as I’m concerned. Though, Mom’s now addicted to the Shrimp Tempura roll there ^..^ She always tries at least one bite of every roll I try, and she really helped me polish off that plate ‘o mine. the sushi menu is harder to read though; it’s an actual sheet that you have to fill out as opposed to items on the menu. Still, Shrimp Tempura and the Krunchy roll are very good. Not epic-Zen-Tempura-Roll good, but good. So maybe, when Bear and Scamp come, I can take them to Wasabi for food right away, and then in the afternoon/evening when we’re about to leave town, we can stop at The Sushi Place.

The ride back from Branson was a little harsh. The sunlight was glaringly bright, I had a headache, Mom had a headache, there were about five dead skunks placed invariably along the road sides....for a moment, I thought I was in South Louisiana all over again XD. But we got back and rested a bit. We got the internet back up and running. Now, our next item on our list is redoing Dad’s ‘room’. It’s just the spare room, but it’s the room with the computer, i.e. room with computer games, i.e. room where Dad usually is if there isn’t work to do. So, Mom wants to get one of those bed sets that’s mostly dark brown but has blue stripes on it, and pain the walls the blue and get curtains that are solid brown to match. Dad loves blue, so having that blue room will be great for him.

Oh! I got another e-mail from
Kth today! I was so excited! She’s pretty much finished my girls, aaaand she had some questions about Ten’s coloring. So there are only two more, and she has the inking done for Ten already done, she just has to color him. I cannot wait till all the portraits are done =..= It’s been.....over a year now O..o wow...I hadn’t realised that till just now. I sent her an e-mail asking for these commissions November 1, 2007 O..O’ Good Lord, but how time files! I’m so glad I got to pay her back when I actually had money ^..^ It totally would’ve sucked to see the finished products and have no money to get them =..=

Speaking of money, this Saturday, there’s a job fair >..> I’m getting nervous and it isn’t even Saturday yet >..< It starts at 9 am, so I plan to get there as early as possible to get that done and over with. Take about 20 resumes and see what I can do. /sigh. The joys of unemployment.

I honestly cannot think of a single thing else to say....that usually means that I should shut up. So, I’ll talk later, Sunshines :)

Since I posted, we’ve transferred ourselves over to my Aunt Carolyn’s house - my Dad’s big sister. It’s nice at Aunt Carolyn’s because she’s very nice and accommodating ....well, with the exception of Uncle George (who tends to take a more mischievous attitude towards guests), it’s been nice. I’m sleeping on the couch again (like at Grandmere’s), but her couch is super comfy. All things considered, it’s a great place to stay.

There is only one drawback...the house is rather old. It’s up on blocks, off the ground essentially, and every time you walk you hear the floor shake a bit rattling furniture and just making noise. Also, I’m in the living room, and the bathroom is on the other side of the house. So, in the middle of the night, if/when I need to go to the bathroom, I have to tip-toe through the house that shakes, open a door that squeaks and groans, and then flush a loud toilet....then creep back. Not an easy task. I’ve always considered myself a fairly quiet and considerate’s kind of a blow to the ego when I can’t be quiet =..=

Other than that, our place of rest now is fairly nice. As for how things are going; I think I’ve decided to stop calling Scamp ‘Scamp’.... for one thing, I am borrowing someone else’s nickname for her, and that kinda blows. I suppose it’d be easier calling her after one of her many aliases. The first to come to mind of course is ‘Fally’. That being said, Fally and I have been co-collaborating again on a WoW Fic. It’s funny how we operate, to me...I mean, I always imagined that writing a story that relies on someone else would be frustrating and perhaps less fulfilling than writting on our own. But it seems that since our characters interact so often and are so integral to each other, that when she writes about something significant happening in one of her character’s lives it affects one if not all of my characters as I get inspired to write something, even if it’s just my characters reactions to what’s going on in her story. That’s my uneducated opinion anyway. So, she started writing out a story about her Warlok, Egeus, and I had to write back. So, even though it started out as her story, eventually it somehow turned into ‘ours’ O..o’ Funny huh?

Other than that, Mom and I are both miserably homesick, as we have been for, oh, the past week and a half =..= Sure, the time spent at the hotel was wonderful, but after leaving it...I dunno. When you have a hotel room, you always have a 'my place'. It may be borrowed and generic, but it's still yours for a time. When you're bumming around with others (whether they want you or not) you're still at someone else's matter how welcome they make you feel. So, I definitely prefer staying at a hotel. Still, who has that kind of money (other than Haris Pilton :D).

Oh, and we might be staying a day later than we though...yeah, see, Dad's rig is getting them to leave by boat, and the weather that's moving down might make the seas too difficult, even dangerous, for them to leave. So! Dad may not get in till Thursday instead of getting in on Wednesday. The plan was for him to get in some time Wednesday and spend the night here to rest. Then we were supposed to wake up at a God-forsaken hour Thursday and travel all day Thursday. But if he's late, it might be moved back. We are not only home sick...we're annoyed /twitch.

Moving on! Now that I've paid for my drawings (those drawings that I had commissioned...uh...about 2 years ago or so?), I only have about $50 left to my name that I know of. I say 'that I know of' because I have a huge 5 gallon jug that has a bottom full of change. It's not all counted or accounted for, so I probably have more money, I just don't know it yet =..= I told Mom that one of the first things I'll do when I get home is take that money to one of those money counters and get it reimbursed.

Oh yeah! I finally paid for those drawings!
Kth-Dragon and I had collaborated about getting them done (when it comes to drawings, I usually turn to Fally, but these were animal drawings and I can only ask for so much). She finally got me the base sketches she'd been working on ...a lot had come up. She hadn't been able to get a scanner, then she got let go by her work and heck, just life had gotten in the way, and we both sorta lost touch. She finally contacted me back with the base sketches, and now that I've approved everything, I've paid her and she's going to get to working on getting them color and fully done and all. I'm very excited :D

....not much else to report really. I feel like all I'm doing is killing time....I'm either killing time till we leave or killing time till Fally writes the next part of her fic O..o home and entertainment...that's what I wait for.

I guess I'll go ahead and log out. Later, Sunshines.

msmoon: (Supernatural - Meh)

The day’s been pretty crap. Over-all, my mood…is ‘…meh.’ About, well, just about everything. We have a new president…meh. I have a new driver’s license…meh. It’s just been that type of day. And, I honestly can’t work up enough enthusiasm about any of it. Then again, I was never excited about any of it in the first place.

As for the president...well, McCain wasn’t a spotless lamb, but he was the candidate I felt a tad bit closer to. Does that mean he’s my ideal? No. Just the closest choice I could make from what I did have to choose from. Now, Obama’s president...quite a mile-marker really. I’m certain some people are upset about that. Truthfully, I disagree with him on many levels, but he’s the authority now. Way I see it, he’ll either help or harm the country, but either way life’ll go on. Meh.

What a fiasco this morning. I decided to go in to work late and get my diver’s license renewed. Tomorrow would be the 30 day mark of when it needed to be renewed, and I really didn’t want to wait. I had thought, before, that I might be moved sooner, so I was sort of waiting till I could renew it in Arkansas...but that’s still half a month away. So, I drove on down to the DMV (hardest place in the world to find), and we got there...around 7:45, but they don’t open till 8. We waited and waited with about 2 dozen other people. Then we walk in and it says we must have proof of registration for all transactions. So, we go to the car and get that…only to realize that my proof of insurance expires this month. So! We go to State Farm…which...doesn’t open till 9. We went across the street to Burger King to wait. Did all that, took care of everything there and then went back to the DMV. Once you got it in was less than a 10 minute wait before I was serviced. Finally...Mom dropped me off at work, but by then it was 9:30. It was just a long and frustrating morning. Probably why I’m in such a ‘meh’ mood.

On a more exciting subject – for me at least – I finally got some contact from Kth. She finally got a scanner to show me the bases for the portraits I asked her to draw for me so very long ago. She’s been going through a few tough times as well, but now that she has free time, she could actually get around to focusing on the stuff I asked for. The base sketches are pretty sweet, so I can only imagine how awesome the finished products will be. They’re very realistic looking, and I’m very happy with them. I just can’t wait till she applies colors and they’re finished :D

But yeah..that’s all so far. I’ll talk later, Sunshines….if I can work up the enthusiasm.

Harvest Moon

msmoon: (Warcraft - Yaviel WhaHuh?)

I’ve been in such a sleepy mood lately. Too tired to do much creatively. Writing has been out of the question. Of course, when I’m not being creative I have the lame habit of checking my e-mail 15 times a day. But it isn’t as thought I’ve been doing nothing with my time. I was occupied with Rieko Sunday...and…uh…oh, Wednesday, Dad came….uh…yeah….never mind.

Sunday, Reiko came over around 9ish, and we headed out to see the new movie The Dark Knight. We both agreed that it totally rocked our faces off. I’m totally faceless right now, and I couldn’t be happier. That movie was so good, I totally forgave them for the ending. I can’t say too much without giving too much away and it being a full review; but Heath Ledger’s Joker made me ask “Jack who?”. He was equal part disturbing/hilarious….if I had to use a word….I’d have to make one up and it be... distlarious…because currently …there just aren’t any words that could adequately describe it.

After the movie, we went to Sam’s. Why you ask? Because Reiko had never set foot inside a Sam’s store before, and I have a Sam’s card ^..^ So we spent 15 minutes walking around Sam’s with me pointing things out and showing her around. She seemed awed and surprised. After that, we went to the mall, because it’d been about a year since she’d last set foot in the mall. Her last X and current stalker/harasser has a lot of friends that are always there and she’s always been a little spooked by the idea of going to the mall because she was afraid he’d find out or something. Or she was afraid of being harassed by his friends. So I asked her…

”Why don’t we just go to the mall…just to go.”

And she was like, “Because the people there-“

And I was like “Screw ‘em! Screw those people! What’s the worst that can happen? They can glare at you with their emo selves and then go in a corner and cry!”

And she paused and said. “…Yeah! Screw ‘em! We’re going to the mall!”

It took as 20 minutes to walk around, and that was only because she bumped into two people she knew (and had parted with on good terms) and they were busy talking. After that, we headed to PetSmart for her to talk a bit to her old friends there, and then we hit WingStop, which seems to be forming a tradition. We headed back to my place where we consumed many wings. She brought Boondock Saints and we watched that while eating (I should say that I watched, but she fell asleep towards the end. It wasn’t entirely her fault; she was laying on Hugh – my enormous floor pillow :D). Boondock Saints…wasn’t bad. I dunno. I’d have to watch it again. It was actually pretty funny, just…so obscene.

And then life went back to normal, with Reiko’s visit seeming like a dream…as it always does. Monday and Tuesday have come and gone, and there is precious little I can say about either of them. Although, I have gotten back into watch The Soup and its specials on E!. Oh, how I’ve missed you, Joel.

Wednesday was my day off, and Dad came in that day. I cleaned up the house a little bit….not that it really mattered. Dad insisted on mowing the lawn, even though it was pouring rain. We went to eat out and I got a call from my old friend Brandi. I hadn’t heard from her since...7th grade? That’s when I met her...we just grew apart eventually and the last I’d heard from her she was getting married. I have no idea how she got my number, but it was nice to hear from her and hear that she was doing well.

Church was ok. Celeste was there, so I didn’t have to cut up as much ^..^ Near the end I asked Kayla if she’d be coming to my movie night and she said she might. So at the very least, I know Celeste and Kayla will be showing up (no doubt with their respective S.O.’s). Misty has said that she might show up too, if she’s capable of doing so. Daniel said he might come too if he’s off. At least I won’t be watching a movie by myself Saturday night ^..^

Dad left sometime this morning around 3:30 am for Arkansas. Now that he’s gone, I need to situate my living room and let Harvey do his job. I keep telling people, “My house normally isn’t this’s just because you’re hear that it is.” Because in truth, I’m no house cleaner (or a cleaner at all). But every time I have a movie night, I try to clean as much as I can mom’s hoping that I start to have movie nights more often just so I can clean more =..= Sorry, Mom. Just once a month.

I’ve been popping over to DeviantArt a lot, just to keep the favorites from piling up. I’m really loving SugarGrl14 because her work with altering eyes and her Seven Deadly Sins pictures are awesome. I just love her manipulation of color and how she makes it look very natural in the eyes and face. But I also found Roommates by *AsheRhyder and Girls Next Door by *Pika-la-Cynique…and it’s just so made of awesome. It’s like someone took my errant dreams and made them into a funny little comic XD! It’s just so cute...and until Scampers can get her Chibi Hothien comic started, I don’t see any other option ¬.¬

One week till Mecha Con. I need to buy...*thinks* a small ice chest, some DVDs for my camcorder...I can’t think of anything I don’t already have. So I suppose that’s it (unless I should think of something else). I really cannot wait for some regularly scheduled fun. And since Reiko’s never been, it should be interesting.

Hmm...I can’t think of anything else to write. I guess that means that’s all. Later, Sunshines.

My friends call me Meg, or they would if I had any.
Which Disney Princess are you?
